Hybrid Water – Riverbank Filtration System & Horizontal Collector Well

VAWS designs and constructs Horizontal Collector Wells for Riverbank Filtration Systems. The systems comprise caissons with horizontal laterals projected far into the aquifer.

Compared to the conventional intake of river water, RBF has advantage of supplying raw water with better quality which reduces the filtration load of treatment plants and ensures sufficient supply during drought seasons.

Collector wells can be located close to a dependable water source to take advantage of a natural filtering process referred to as riverbank filtration. This natural filtration simplifies treatment and ensures high quality water supply.
